Our Task
Our task was to make a sports video to help our school sports teams enhance their performances in their various sports.
Our Video
We decided to do our video on how to hit a homerun in baseball. We then found all the needed steps to hit a successful home run.

Physics
- The time is always shown is second.
- The mass is always in kilograms
- The distance is always shown in meters
- Forces is shown in Newtons. For reference one lbs is about 4.5 Newtons
- Vertical distance. The measurement for this 1/2at^2. The acceleration (a) is 9.8 m/s^2 due to gravity. And the time was 0.96 seconds. At the top of its trajectory, our ball was 4.5 meters from the ground
- The second concept we used was Velocity. The calculation for velocity is V= d/t or velocity equals change in distance divided by the change in time. In our case, the velocity of our ball leaving the bat was 30.4 m/s.
- Another concept that we used in our project was horizontal distance. Not to be confused with its slightly more popular and better looking cousin, vertical distance. We didn't need an equation for this one because we just measured the distance from the batter's box to where the ball landed. The ball went an average of 60 meters.
- The last concept we used was Force. We needed to find the force of the ball when it hit the bat and the force that the ball exerts on the bat. For this we used the calculation mv=Ft or momentum=Force* distance. We pluged in all of our data and got 1100 poulds of force.

There were many good and bad things about this project.
There were many good and bad things about this project.
- The main bad thing was that some of my group members would not do work
- Another bad thing was that we could not get entirely accurate readings because the ball was thrown slightly different speeds each time.
- One good thing was that as we progresed throught the project, the people in our group became alot easier to work with.
- The other good thing about this project was because it was relitivly easy to get all the measurements we needed.
